The Oasis Christmas event was very special this year. There was special music from a local brass band, a former summer student, a community member and a local church. Pastor Nathan nailed it with a reflection on the Innkeeper in the Christmas story. So many of our community members, volunteers and supporters came out, rubbing elbows and connecting. One of our regulars commented that this was the first time that we ran out of food and also the first time he had to sit in the balcony because of the size of the audience (over 120). It seemed like a record for us. The atmosphere was festive. The highlight of the evening was when the volunteers were called up. The audience began to look sparse as the stage filled with people. It was a great visual image of what it takes to make Oasis run. Without our volunteers, it just would not happen. Thank you all.
