The shipment of vitamins from World Vision arrived. Six huge boxes of containers. 180 tablets in each container. Many members of our community will benefit from this. The very next day we had a group of students from two local churches visiting us. They pretended to be clients of the food bank. They assumed an identity of a typical young member of our community. They went through intake. They picked up a box of dry food and went through the vegetable room. Then they met with Franklyn, our resident volunteer chef, to plan their meals from what they had received. Afterwards Erika asked the students what was one thing they learned today; something they had not known before. One student said: “I learned that you could get vitamins from food.” I only wish that was always true of the food we are able to provide.
