OASIS F.C.

2012:

Weekly pick-up soccer games will be held at Dufferin Grove Park (Dufferin south of Bloor) on Sundays starting at 5pm from June 10, until August 26, 2012. Co-ed soccer, ages 16 and up. Everyone welcome.

 

 

BRIEF HISTORY:

The Oasis soccer team started in 2008, and was comprised mainly of Oasis staff and voluteers.

In 2009, the Oasis FC grew in numbers and played friendly games locally at Wallace Emerson Park and Brockton Stadium. Oasis FC also held weekly open pick-up games which over the entire season had over 50 participants.

In 2010 and 2011, Oasis FC continued with pick-up soccer and also joined the Toronto Services Soccer League (TSSL).
 
The focus for Oasis FC in 2010, was to use soccer as a way to create a community of inclusion by: 
  1. Having open pick-up games focused on developing friendships, 
  2. Encouraging sportsmanship at the competitive level of soccer through league games and,
  3. Giving back to local and global communities through actively participating in charity.
