In 2012, the annual Oasis Spring Run Fundraiser featured a new name, new location, and lots of new faces!

On Saturday May 26^th, 2012, 40 runners took to the course on the West Toronto Rail path while friends and family enjoyed the beautiful weather and positive atmosphere.  Both the 4km and 8km participants faced fierce competition, leading to an exciting race for the eager supporters and curious on-lookers as well.

Among the runners were many dedicated fundraisers; raising over $4,000 for Oasis Dufferin Community Centre!  THANK YOU!

2^nd – Hasan Subhani - 20:00*
3^rd – Jimmy Chen - 20:28*

8km   
1^st – Nickson Rugut - 29:58*
2^nd – Eric Bang - 32:02*
3^rd – Nathan McCoy - 33:21*

*times may include a minor detour of 400-500 metres

Oasis Walk, Run or Play 2011

 

A huge thanks goes out to all who supported and participated in our Walk, Run or Play event on Saturday May 28th.  What started out a grey morning gave way to sunshine as dedicated runners circled the track at Brockton Stadium; on-lookers enjoyed hot dogs & cotton candy; and kids had fun in the jumping castle.

 

Those same runners were even more dedicated fundraisers; raising over $4,700 for the work at Oasis.

Due to the previous day's rain, the soccer game was moved to the field across the street.  Oasis FC performed well, keeping in step with its rival: The Oasis FC Alumni. The final score was 2-2. The current Oasis FC team hopes to use the lessons learned from facing The Alumni to excel in this coming season.
