Our goal is to improve mental well-being and social connection, offering tools that help women regain confidence, heal from past trauma, and build a strong sense of belonging.

Spanish speaking women
Must be residing in Toronto and a newcomer to Canada
Who are facing:
Stress and anxiety related to migration and settlement
Adverse experiences in their country of origin
Grief and loss
Challenges in interpersonal relationships and communication
Feelings of isolation or uncertainty in a new environment
Through guided sessions, women develop coping skills, emotional resilience, and self-confidence, helping them build a foundation for a healthier future.

Meet Erika
MDiv., MSW, RSW, Women
Erika Abele is a Registered Social Worker with over 15 years of experience in psychotherapy, specializing in anxiety, stress, depression, grief, postpartum depression, and trauma. She is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive space where individuals can explore their challenges and build resilience.
Erika works collaboratively with clients to identify and implement meaningful changes that lead to a greater sense of well-being. She integrates Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Psychodynamic approaches, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of the individual.
At Oasis Dufferin, Erika leads counselling services for Spanish-speaking women, helping them navigate the emotional impact of migration, trauma, and life transitions. She is passionate about empowering individuals with strategies and tools that foster healing, hope, and personal growth.
